We start each project with a no-charge initial meeting with the client preferably at the property. This is an opportunity to discuss the project in detail and take a brief. It is also a good time to identify priorities, issues and budgets that are important. This meeting would then be followed up by a written Fee proposal to the client.

If required as part of the project, we put together the drawings and any information necessary to make an application to the local authority for Planning or Certificate of Lawfulness (as appropriate for the project). If any specialist information/reports are needed as part of the application, we can recommend trusted companies and liase with them to produce this.

Detailed<br>Design.

Detailed
Design.

Once the concept design is agreed, the project moves on to the Detailed Design and Specification stage. This includes all the layouts to set out electrics, lighting, heating and structure. Construction details and any built-in joinery. We also draw up bathrooms and kitchens and any rooms requiring more detailed plans. Alongside the drawings we can specify finishes and fitting for the client or help them to choose their own.

A brief itemised scope of works is then put together for either their own preferred or our highly recommended builders to price against.

MPS can be appointed as Contract Administrators to oversee the building contract and onsite works and represent the client with all the construction decisions. Progress of the project is monitored on site on a regular basis and any issues arising are resolved in a timely and pragmatic manner to maintain the quality and design concept.
